BECOME A MEMBER OF THE AUSTRALIAN CONSULATE IN VANCOUVER!
There is currently an opening at the Australian Consulate in Vancouver for a Consular Officer. Under the direction of the Post Manager & Honorary Consul, this position would provide quality consular services to Australian citizens living in or visiting Western Canada in full accordance with Australian Government regulations and guidelines.
The successful candidate would process applications for new and replacement travel documents, provide consular support to distressed Australians, handle telephone and counter enquiries as well as perform general administrative tasks.
Requirements of the job include a tertiary degree in office or business administration or a related field, experience dealing with the public, an aptitude for IT-based and technical work processes and proven administrative experience.
It is necessary to have demonstrated excellence in organisational skills, including time management, and strong inter-personal skills. Fluency in English, both written and oral is required.
