(1) A senior’s passport with five-year’s validity is available for Australian citizens aged 75 years or over
(2) A child’s passport is for Australian citizens under 18 years of age who have never been married
(3) This fee includes diplomatic and official passports
(4) The issue of a Document of Identity is often urgent so would normally also attract the Priority Processing Fee
The fees above apply and are payable under the provisions of the Australian Passports (Application Fees) Act 2005 and the Australian Passports Determination 2008 (No. 1). No GST is payable on the above fees.
Postage and Payment

Payments are to be made in Canadian dollars by certified cheque or money order payable to the applicable mission. Cash payments may only be made when lodging an application in person. Please note, the High Commission in Ottawa, the Toronto Consulate-General and the Vancouver Consulate have credit card (Visa/MasterCard) facilities.

Unless collected in person, passports and documents are returned by Canada Post registered mail for which the above fees apply.

If you wish to have your new passport and/or documents sent by Federal Express, please provide your credit card details for inclusion on the waybill.

If you prefer, you may provide an express or priority prepaid envelope from Canada Post or prepaid envelope from the courier company of your choice for the return of your documents.

The application fee is generally non-refundable even if the passport is not issued.
Immediate travel - priority processing fee
For urgent travel, please contact the mission at which you will lodge your application to find out if you are eligible for an Emergency Passport. If you are eligible, your travel document will be ready for collection or dispatch within two working days (48 hours) of receipt of your application and all required documentation. Please note, this service attracts a Priority Processing Fee and special conditions apply.
