Passports
Australian citizens in Canada and Bermuda can lodge passport applications at the Australian High Commission in Ottawa, the Consulate-General in Toronto or the Consulate in Vancouver. Access contact details here.
It is important to be aware of passport application requirements before seeking to lodge an application. This information and application forms are available on the Australian Passports Office website. Access here the list of guarantors approved for use in Canada and Bermuda.
Where original passport application supporting documentation is in a language other than English, an original English translation by an approved certified translator must also be provided. Approved translators must be certified by provincial and territorial bodies which are members of the Canadian Translators, Terminoligists and Interpreters Council. Click here for a list of these organisations.
Passport fees are set in Canadian dollars and subject to monthly review in accordance with exchange rate fluctuations. Click here for current fees.
Fees for passport applications lodged in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver may be paid by credit card. Credit card authorisation forms are available here.
Lost or stolen passports can be reported online via the Australian Passports Office website.
